🧭 Main Immigration Categories
A Visitor Visa, also called a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV), lets you enter Canada for a short stay, usually up to six months. This visa is often used for tourism, visiting family, or attending short-term courses or events.
A Study Permit allows you to study at a Canadian institution that is a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) for more than six months. While studying in Canada, you may be eligible for part-time work and, after graduation, apply for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP).
