Resources to improve your English in Newfoundland and Labrador
There are organizations in the province that can help you improve your English once you live here, through the programs they offer:
- Association for New Canadians (ANC), offers training in English as a Second Language (ESL). In-person classes are offered at the ANC Adult ESL Training Centre in St. John's and at the ANC regional office in Corner Brook. In St. John's.
- Bethesda, attending The Conversation Café program offers people from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds the opportunity to improve your English proficiency in a friendly and interactive environment. Levels: Basic, Intermediate and Advance, online and in person.
- YMCA, The YMCA Conversation Café offers informal English practice for newcomers (18+).
