a vibrant newcomer-serving organization rooted in St. John’s, yet boldly extending its engagement across Newfoundland
and Labrador. With a legacy of nurturing belonging, we offer adaptable, holis2c supports for newcomers, ensuring that
individuals and families can realize their full potential here.
Mission:
To inspire, equip, and integrate newcomers through innovative supports, fostering empowered lives and interconnected
communities throughout Newfoundland and Labrador.
Key Services and Programs:
• Settlement Support & Warm Welcome: Personalized airport greetings, city tours, practical orientation to St.
John’s, and help accessing essentials like healthcare and education. Our close-knit St. John’s base is
complemented by new on-the-ground supports in Gander and Placentia—recognizing regional migration
patterns and the value of grassroots welcome for newcomers making these pivotal communities’ home.
• Career and Employment Empowerment: Year-round job readiness training, Canadian labour market guidance,
credential recognition, employer networking, and support for entrepreneurship (business planning, regulatory
support).
• Youth and Leadership Initiatives: Programs for newcomer youth to build confidence, develop leadership skills,
and foster belonging are now being piloted in our Gander and Placentia circles, in addition to established St.
John’s offerings.
• Financial Literacy and Community Resilience: Seminars and one-on-one support help newcomers master
budgeting, taxes, and investments; values-driven programming is available to all, regardless of location.
