Bethel Immigration and Community Assistance Program (BICAP), a new initiative designed to support newcomers and Canadians from elsewhere as they settle into Goose Bay. Its mission is to provide a welcoming environment where individuals can build connections, develop language skills, and feel embraced by the community.
Here are just a few of the many services offer:
1. Assistance with obtaining your Permanent Residency (PR)
2. Guiding you through the process of obtaining MCP.
3. Assistance in keeping your immigration papers up to date.
4. Learning English, Online and in person courses available.
5. Learning to drive, obtaining your driver licence.
6. Looking for employment.
7. Finding suitable housing.
8. Choosing a school for your children.
9. Meeting new friends and so much more.
Drop by the office for a visit to say hello to the team,
Conversation Café is a key component of BICAP, a weekly gathering that offers participants the opportunity to practice and improve their English skills in a friendly and supportive setting. Held on Monday evenings from 7:00 to 8:15 PM in the multi-purpose room at Bethel, the Café is arranged in a relaxed, restaurant-style atmosphere. Each table will have a facilitator who will engage attendees in everyday conversations, guiding them in developing their language proficiency. Snacks and refreshment are provided.
